A friend about Bob Spring:
"He grew up holding a violin in his hands nevertheless his first music cassette was an Elvis Presley best of tape...
At the age of 13 he found a guitar and discovered his voice...
Sang for different bands and did almost 300 live shows with his rockband "backwash" (perris records)...
He is absolutly devoted to everything that makes a sound...weather it's an instrument or a simple beer can.
He hung at his friends' studios for weeks and weeks composing, sampling, writeing and recording 24/7.
Died a hundred deaths, lost his mind to the feels of music and finally found grounded again...
Never stopped holding on... come what may...
Without music, there would be no Bob Spring"
Dark Country / Junk Blues is a spooky, dark, rotten n' melancholic kinda folk-blues-country-rock. It's all about the mood. I don't know in wich section I would look for this sound if I was in a record store... that's why I had to give it a new description... DARK COUNTRY or JUNK BLUES! I think that fits to the "cheep"-lo-fi mood it has, pretty good.
GARY CLARK JR
Austin, TX, USA
“You can say you saw him before he hit the big time.” – Atlantic City Weekly
“Gary Clark Jr blew my head off. He plays with the intensity of a freight train with a broken heart.” – Rochester City Newspaper
“Laid back but limelight ready.” – MTV/ TheHive.Com
“Impressive to a staggering degree. Gary has already been compared to come of classic rock’s greats, invoking the guitar chops of Clapton, Hendrix and, a B.B King guttural tone the next. Clark’s star is on the rise, and the young talent has many years and many full-length albums ahead of him.” – VH1 Blog

After writing and producing tracks for hundreds of TV commercials over the past few years, DB decided it was time to move on, and explore the sweet mysteries that lie beyond the fadeout at :30. May not pay the rent, but at least there's no one pitching Viagra in the middle of his songs...DB will be recording his debut album this June in Nashville, TN.

“The blues, the easiest to learn and the hardest to master.” BB King
Hobbiest guitar player, keeping the flame alive for my favored blues style and renewing interest in talented players I often find on SoundCloud.
Started listening to Blues and R&B players very early in live, I had to end up, lately, trying to play self taught licks on my old hanging 80s strat. After all, simple music is the hardest to play, and blues is simple..
